| I am very sad to say that the repossession process has been started by my mortgage lender, after I have failed to keep up with my monthly repayments after I became ill and unable to work. I am doing everything to try and stop my home from being repossessed, and am hoping to rearrange the eviction appointment. Will this be possible even though the date has already been set? |

| Yes, you can stop the repossession at any time, but you need to have a legitimate reason for doing so. I would advise you to go and talk to an advisor at a local advice centre. They have all the information and, once they are aware of your particular situation, will be able to advise, and perhaps even negotiate with your mortgage lender to stop or postpone repossession. |
