| Hi. I am considering to declare myself bankrupt as I have some very serious problems with debts and I am not sure I can keep up with the repayments. As I don't own any property I think that the consequences will not be all that bad. But can you help me answer just this one question? It is possible get a loan if you are bankrupt? |

| No of course you can't you silly person. The whole purpose of being bankrupt is to not be able to get a loan! You get assigned a case officer too, who will control all your income and out-goings and tell you how to spend the little money you have at your disposal. When the long bankruptcy period finally comes to an end, you will hardly be able to get a current account, let alone a loan, not to speak of a mortgage. So be careful what you decide. |
