Hi, I just got my first job, working as an office junior at a attorney's office. I have lots of sporty clothes, and my mom says I just invest in a proper work wardrobe. How important do you think this is, and does it make a big difference in the way people will treat me if I wear "office clothes"? Thanks.

I would say your mom is definitely right. Not only will people treat you way more seriously if you are nicely and approriately dressed, but also you show your respect towards your employer by donning proper work gear. People make up their mind about you in 30 seconds, based almost only on the way you look! So create a good first impression! Buy solis basics, which you can combine well. A black trouser suit, a skirt, several nice tops and shirts... and you'll be ready to roll! Happy shopping!
