I saw a beautiful house not far from my own house. The house is not in very good shape but the location is excellent. I was thinking about buying it and later decorating it. I could earn on the selling. That is the main reason I am making this inquiry. Is the closing cost the same for the buyer and seller?

I do not think that the closing cost the same for the buyer and the seller. To my knowledge seller do not have to pay the closing cost at all. Only buyer has to cover this cost. Still, since I am not an expert on this matter perhaps you should try searching for someone who has experience in this field.

As far as I know seller do not need to pay the closing cost at all. You can try to come to an agreement with your potential seller. Perhaps you can ask him or her to pay the costs. It can be done. But you have to be very careful and to protect your interest. That is why you should hire someone who can help you with this.
