Hello there people. My name is Alice and I would appreciate if you could tell me couple of things about Environment Affecting Tax. What kind of tax is that and who pays it? Is there Environment Affecting Tax in all countries? Thank you in advance for your posts. I am looking forward to them.

Hello to you too, Alice. Here’s the thing. As you probably know, ecological issues are getting more and more important as we can already feel the consequences of global warming. As an attempt to curb these negative events, some developed countries have introduced that Environment Affecting Tax. According to the regulation, industries which are polluting environment have to pay taxes for their emissions of gases, industrial water and similar. So, oil industry, heavy metallurgy, chemical industry and similar are the biggest branches affected by this tax. Unfortunately, not all countries have this tax. Only developed nations, such as EU, USA, Canada, Japan and similar have introduced it. Well, that would be all from me. Take care!
