Hi everyone. I have sold my property which I was renting out and I have made a handsome profit on it. Sadly the Inland Revenue has somewhat reduced my euphoria about the excellent price I got for the property - I am due to pay a nasty cut out of my profits to those tax collectors... Is there a way not to make the CGT return? I would be very grateful indeed. |

| Yes, and it is called tax evasion or in your case perhaps plane refusal to pay tax. This is an offence that is very serious. You can go to prison for it in fact. If you want to avoid the HMRC coming after you to in their taxes, I would be a law abiding citizen and make peace with the fact that you will have to part with a part of your income. |
