| I am a brick layer working for a company as an employee. While I enjoy my job and am happy with the wages, I have heard that my "colleagues" who are self employed are doing much better financially. Is there a way to be self employed and can I do this too? Your help would be greatly appreciated - Thanks in advance. |

| I am self employed too, although I work in a totally different field. The main con of being self employed is having no regular income, and also you have to arrange all of your own tax matters. On the other hand the self employed status gives you great freedom. You register as being self employed with the HMCR and they will also be able to point you in the right direction as to what your new responsibilities are. |
