| I have recently started a small business. I have almost set up everything I need for doing the job properly, and the only thing left is to put several computers onto network and install OS. I know that Windows is a standard, but Linux would suit me better because of the price. However, if it is less efficient, I would not install it. If anyone has some advice, it would be really helpful. |

| For a long time, Windows was the only option, but recently Linux started making its way. Personally, I know many people that have installed Linux. It is good if you do not do business with various specialized programs, that is, if you only need it to connect to the other computers and go to internet, use text editors. However, if you want to build complex data bases, use quality graphic programs, or something similar that demands stronger software, it would be better to go with Windows. It seems to me that programs on Linux still cannot equal those on Windows, and some time will pass before that is the case. Hope you find this helpful. |
