Can I get some advice from you all please? I have been considering to leave the UK to go and live with my son and his family, who live outside the EU in Ukraine. I am due to receive my state pension in eight years' time now and I am wondering whether my state pension would be affected by my move? Any comments on the whole matter is very welcome.
The answer is YES, your state pension will be affected, but also, YES, you will still get it. You can actually get paid your state pension wherever in the world you happen to decide to go and live. BUT you will not qualify for any annual increases if you live outside of Great Britain. If you have any questions please contact the pension service.
