Main difference between chain letters and pyramid schemes?

| Something tells me that pyramidal schemes and chain letter are pretty much the same, but I ma sure that there is some kind of difference or they would have the same name, so I am interested in this small difference of there is any at all. I think that this is something that can be of great help once I try to distinguish them. |

| This is the best way to distinguish them I can tell you. I think that one thing that is very important is that you should pretty much know that there is something that is very important in all this and this one important thing is that they function pretty much the same but the shape they are functioning differs a little bit. It is very important to know that one very important detail in all this is that it is based on a bunch of people. You need o have a lot of people here in order for both of these schemes to work, they just have different story line and it all boils down to the same thing. |
