| We recently moved our mortgage to Stroud & Swindon Building Society. We managed to get much better rate. However, now I am concerned with some of the fees we were charged. Stroud and Swindon charged us 700 pounds completion fee. This mortgage arrangement fees really worries me. Does anyone else think this is too much? |

| Nothing incorrect has gone on from what I can see so far. You were told that there was a fee upon completion and it was charged. You should check what the fees would be at the other lenders before you committed the deal. I would suggest that the fee is in line with most of the lenders fees according the rate you have. Lenders will often charge these kinds of fees to help provide cheaper rates. At last, that is the main thing why you move with them now. That is not like bank charges or exit fees. It was a fee to help customer get a lower interest rate. I do not think that 750 pounds is too many for the things you get. |
