Dear all. I am a self employed worker. So far I have lived in rented accomodation, but I am very much fed up with that. I would love to have a place of my own. But of course I have been aware for many years that getting a mortgage is almost impossible for someone who is self employed and thus has bad credit. Is there any chance? Sad

Hi. I might have some good news for you. The time that self employed people were totally unable to get access to mortgage facilities are definitively over. Almost all mortgage lenders now have mortgages for your type of people. While it is true you will be paying somewhat more... You will probably find someone who will give you a mortgage.
