Good evening everyone. My name is Michael and I would like to ask you about environment affecting tax. The thing is that I would like to buy a local plastic production facility. I am worried that it is a big polluter in the area. Must I pay environment affecting tax? Can you tell me how that tax works? Thank you.

Hello to you too, Michael. Well, as you probably know, environment affecting tax is imposed to the industries which pollute the environment. Now, I don’t know if there are some criteria for this taxation. It must be something, since there are different types of polluters. One other thing, different industries pollute environment to different degrees. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you if you have to pay environment affecting tax. I presume that you do, but you still have to check that out. I would suggest you to contact your nearest tax authority office and ask them about all the details. That is all I can tell you. I am sorry if I haven’t been of much help to you. Bye!
