| Hi. I am wondering what my credit report looks like. I am a woman with a good, responsible job in the civil service. My ex husband however was very irresponsible with his money and has maxed out his credit cards several times. Although I am now divorced I am getting the impression that his spending patterns are still affecting my financial status. What do you think about that? And what can I do about it? |

| You are certainly right. Although credit scoring agencies would nopt admit to taking into account the credit score of spouses, and even parents, they do thos routinely. If you have recently been denied for some account, loan, or credit card, it is clear why that has happened. You could request a copyt of your credit report by writing to the agencies in question. They make a small charge for that. You could look up by internet how muc, and then send off for your report. |
