I have just found a job in some small private business. It’s a really good job, the kind I was looking for a few years. Now I am not sure how am I paying the tax, since this is the first one for me. Is it my responsibility or my employer? I wouldn’t want to make much mass about it at work, but I have to know.

It is not your responsibility at all, but it’s good to make sure it is all done properly. Your employer should pay tax from your salary before you receive it. This is the so called Pay as you earn (PAYE). Employer will give you the paperwork for it. Every day you have to recive payslips. That is a receipt for the tax you’v paid.
