| I own some shares in pretty stabile company. Every year I receive dividend. But still I get pretty confused about those taxes. My wife always bothers me about that. In her opinion I have chosen a wrong shares because I owe such an amount of taxes. Can anyone clarify situation with paying taxes on profits from shares? |

| It really all depends on type of shares you buy. If you have shares in equity fund dividend income from funds which are equity oriented is tax-free. When you are in debt fund it isnt so simple. You must calculate and make balance between dividend distribution tax and tax for capital gain. I cant give you specific solution because i dont know all the facts about your shares. The best thing is to ask your financial advisor. |
