Dear all. As a self-employed freelance worker my financial situation is not always straight forward. I am earning more than enough money to be able to live nicely. But I don;t have a house of my own yet. I would love to buy, but it is not so easy getting a mortgage if you are a self-employed person. Some banks have already told me I have no chance of getting a mortgage. What are your views?
I know that is is tricky. But don't give up. Because getting a mortgage is certainly not impossible for you. It is true that the charged will defintely be higher in comparison to what your employed friends are paying. But "no chance of getting a mortgage" is a bit harsh. Have a look on the web for "mortgages for people with hard to verify income" and you will be pointed in the right direction!
