| Hi. I have moved in with my boyfriend recently. I am very happy about this and we are hoping to get married sometime in the near future too. The plan was to rent out my flat to cover at least the mortgage I am paying on it. But so far I have been unable to find someone suitable to rent the place out to. I am reluctant to deal with letting agencies as they will take a cut. What do you advise? |

| The advice I would give you is probably something you don't want to hear. But here goes. I think that you HAVE TO contact an agency and use their help. Apart from them taking a cut (of course... what do you expect, that they work for free?) they will do a lot for you. They will vet the tenants and do a contract. And they should get the rent each month too. That seems to me to be the easiest solution, if not the only one. |
