| Hello there everyone. I am currently a student of industrial management and I am interested in PLM concept. However, I haven’t managed to get some substantial information about it, so I was thinking maybe you could help me. Can you tell me something about product development processes and methodologies of PLM? Thank you. |

| Hello hello. Product development has many phases, starting from the very basic idea about the product, until the servicing of product one in customer’s hands. But basically, there are four main phases. First phase is “Conceive” in which the idea of the product is formed. Second one is “Design”. This phase also include prototype making and it’s testing. Third phase is “Realize”. In this phase, product is produced, marketed and sold to the customers. Final phase is called “Service” in which producer provides customers with service and support. When it comes to PLM methodologies, there are plenty of them. Most prominent ones are bottom-up design, top-down design, design in context etc. Well, that would be all from me. I would suggest you to look for some additional resources on the net. Good bye! |
