I would always advise you to take an agent and make sure that it’s a good one. It’ll cost a bit more, it’s a fact, but that’s in my opinion the only, let’s say, disadvantage of using an agent’s service. There are many advantages such as: you don’t have to worry about the whole paperwork and administration, you’ll find buyer sooner and you’ll get the money sooner, and what’s most important you don’t have to worry if someone will cheat you. Similar cases happen constantly. It’s true that there’re more cases of cheating when buying than selling the house, but you have to be careful. Obviously, advantages outnumber disadvantages, there’s no need for any hesitation.
