| Hi. I hope I am not making it too complicated but the situation is as follows. I have a savings account with one bank, lets say X and a current account as well as a savings account with another banks, lets say Y. Now I need to urgently transfer money from the X savings account, to Y current account. How to achieve this most effectively and cheaply? By bank to bank transfer? This is not something I have ever done before so please point me in the right direction. |

| Yes, that is one of the ways of achieving what you want. I have never done it myself transferring money from my own account to my other account, with another bank. I do have a direct debit set up to my exs account each month, but that is a different question. I think bank transfers are not free of charge. Why dont you just withdraw it in cash and pay it into your another account in cash? |
