I just want to say that there are many things you can do to make the use of your credit and debt card safer and prevent people from stealing money from you. Like making sure that no one sees your pin code when you enter it somewhere, and never writing down your pin code, especially not on a piece of paper which you then put in your wallet. And don't write it on your card either.

Thank you so much for these useful tips. I would never have thought about some of them myself. Especially the tip about never writing your pin code on the actual card was very good, I thought. By the way, do you also happen to have any tips on how to remove permanent marker from your bank card once it is already written on there?
