| I have some stuff in my house, which I do not need anymore. It seems like a good idea trying to sell them over the eBay. However, when I mentioned that on my work a couple of my colleagues told me that they had the very bad experience with eBay and Paypal. They told me that they were double-crossed by scammers. I don't want to quit my idea so could anybody tell me how could I recognize a scammer on eBay? Could I be scammed via Paypal? |

| Scams usually came in simple emails that you received. Some want to defraud you of your money others want to get your goods without paying for them. Either way they are disease and you should take care from them. As any other disease, this one has its symptoms on which you can identify it. First thing, if the price is too good you should become suspicious better then became a victim of scammer. Second, if they "want" to pay or want you to pay your money in some other country but instead using the bank accounts they suggest using other services like Western Union. You probably want see your money or your goods anymore. Third variant is that they might say you that something is wrong with your eBay or Pay Pal account and you should retype your personal data on their aid page until they fix the problem. They are most certainly the scam and on that page, they will collect all your personal data and can wreak havoc on your account. Until they find a cure for this new disease those measures of personal hygiene should be used on eBay. |
