| Hello. Everyday commuting can be really tiresome. I was also in a situation where I had to change my flat so I can be closer to work. Buying or selling, what to do first? Well, both options have their advantages. When you sell your house first you will know how much money you have at your disposal and you’ll be bale to narrow down your options. Hitherto you can make an unconditional offer which will give you a better position during negotiations. Bad side of this scenario is that you may have to look for temporary accommodation for period before you buy a new house. On the opposite side, when you buy the house first, and then sell your old one, you can wait for the specific property you want. However, you have to think about the price of your house. It can happen that you won’t be able to sell it at the price you’ve set and consequently, you might get yourself in financial troubles. So, think carefully about your financial situation, whether you are able to keep two houses at once for one period. Think about whether you want a specific property or you have a large pool of houses. Then see if selling house before buying other property is good for you, or vice versa. All the best! |
