I need an advice for best short term investment. I’m a student and I’d like to invest $400 in bonds, incorporate stocks, money market accounts or something else and I need you to help me choosing best investment. It would be nice to find out something about the risks of this investing. What’s your recommendation?

I will start with risks first. Short term investments are designed to reduce potential downside risk as well as to protect the capital. I would like to recommend you bank CDs, treasury bills, commercial paper beside money market you already mentioned. If your objective is to invest for the highest potential return then I suggest you to go for individual stocks or growth mutual funds but they include greater risk. Investing in bonds and money market is less stressful and more conservative way to keep risk ratio low.
