Hi. I have a question for you. We are renting a nice house from a landlord. I love the house although we are paying a lot of money for it. The problem is that the TV has not been working for two months already. The TV was part of the deal, and he keeps promising to replace it. But then doesn't do it. Do you think he should reduce the rent because of this?

Yes, absolutely. Even better, you can tell him you will not pay him the rent until he provides the services you had agreed on. Then see how quick he will come up with the thing! Very quickly I am sure. This is the downside of renting a place. It is not very nice arguing with landlords! But then... he should simply provide the services he offered to start with!
