| My colleague and I have a credit card account with First Direct and we intend stop using them simply for the fact that we have changed the job recently and my current employer asked us to open a new account at another bank. So our older accounts wont be active anymore at least it seems to be so at this moment and now I am curious should we keep our older accounts or what? |

| I suggest you keep your older accounts for you may lose a lot by closing it. First of all it may badly impact your credit history and besides this who knows-you might need your old account one day in the future. The thing is once you have closed your account you will be having a problem opening it again so I advice you better keep your older accounts but just get some advice on how to escape being charged for their maintenance- I guess you could put them on hold or something like that. |
