Im student in the second year of Law University, and I really enjoy being student of this school with an excellent reputation, except that in last few months I had some unexpected costs I need to cover with my student loan, and I dont know how Ill make it by the end of the year. Parents cannot help me and Im really trapped by my debts. University is anyway to expensive without extra amount of money I had to pay, and I can only hope that there would be a student loan reduction, that can stop me borrowing money from bank or any other company for personal loans. I dont know if there is any chance for that, as the latest news have been saying , there will be further increase in student costs, therefore in loans, so I dont know if I can hope for any other solution except borrowing money to cover my year. If there is someone who can tell me that these increases in student fees wont last long, I would like to know if student loan reduction will take place instead.

That's something that I would like to see as well, but I dont think that this increases in student fees are such an appalling thing to happen. All students are eligible to 75 of the student loan and remaining 25 is dependent on your household income and level of your maintenance grant (if you are eligible to any) you will receive. If there is a chance for you to get a maintenance grant, your maintenance loan can be reduced by 1 for every 1 of grant you receive with up to maximum reduction of 1, 230. Therefore, students with very poor income background get a higher proportion of government help in appearance of a grant finding them self with less loan to pay back after they graduate and start to work. I dont know if there will be any student loan reduction in view of students who arent coming from low income households and are not eligible for maintenance grant, except if university continues its improvement and reorganization through another increase or reduction in fees.
