I have recently started thinking about buying a house. I would benefit from getting a good home of my own. However, I would like to know is there any tax relief on a house purchase. If anyone could tell me, that would be great. Thanks in advance for any information, I appreciate it.

When it comes to tax relief, you are certainly generally eligible for it. It is especially the case if you are taking a mortgage at a bank. The relief you will be granted is based on the interest you will pay. Also, if you are buying for the first time, you will be eligible for seven year long relief. In any case, I think there will certainly be no problems with it, but you need to claim that relief, otherwise you would not get it. There are some more info you can find out at http://www.revenue.ie/index.htm?/services/
