| I possess a store in my hometown. Business is going right so I think about opening another store. I do not know should I open it as a new one, or should I expand my business into a chain store and just add another store. What are the differences? I cannot decide what solution would be better for my business. |

| The growing number of state tax laws directed at chain stores another factor that must be taken into consideration. Especially when long-run plans are being made. The main reason for opening chain stores is to avoid paying all taxes for every other store you open. However, chain-store owner must anticipate possible federal chain-store taxation in their plans for the future, even though no such tax is now on the books. New federal taxation of chain stores not only increases the tax per store as the number of stores in the chain increases. It provides multiplication of such taxes by the number of states in which a given conducts business. So if you want to open a chain of stores you should think twice about it. |
