Please tell me something on the subject of unfair methods of competition in economics. We are supposed to discuss this tomorrow and I’m afraid that I’ll have nothing to say. I get that the most common things will be said by totally different persons, so I don’t know if anything will be left for me to say. Please, if you have any example or anything… it would really mean something to me.

Different countries have different problems when it comes to unfair methods of competition. It all boils down to the monopoly… I mean, there is nothing as problematic as monopoly is, and the worst thing about it is that it can be established for each piece of merchandise separately. That’s what makes it impossible to track, actually, a country does pretty good job, but it can never be done thoroughly.

If you have nothing to add, than why should you? I sincerely doubt that the professor, or who ever you’re going to talk to, is going to insist that you add something, if there is nothing to add. Besides, there is, in fact, a lot to talk about, on this subject. If you don’t have any example in your surroundings, than you can always invent something. I don’t think anyone will check, really.

Now that you’ve mentioned, there is a store in my neighborhood, that’s been there ever since I know about myself. Now there is a large supermarket opened, not so near, but near enough, and the owner comes from time to time to those small stores, and threats that he is going to make them bankrupt, or that’s what I’ve heard he’s been doing, it doesn’t necessarily has to be true. It doesn’t even matter, for they are all going to have to close their stores, along with this one that I’m, honestly, emotionally attached to. And, what can they do?
