I want to use hedging in my investments to lessen the risk I am taking. But how do I become a hedger? I have read some interesting things on the subject, but I think that the process is of such a complicated nature that I cannot just learn by trial and error. Would anyone be so kind to give me some additional tips?

Good for you! I think that hedging is something that every single serious investor should look into, and most will decide to apply it in the end. Start by reading about different hedging techniques in order to form a clear picture of what your options are on that. You could also do a course on hedging.

Hello there. Could I please ask you what kind of investments you are specifically engaged in? Being more precise would definitely help you get more accurate answers here on the forum, although you should not rely on that for hedging advice. Hedging is a complex process indeed, and you should probably consult with someone more experienced to decide on your mechanisms.
