| When I was a child my sister and I found some weird looking bank notes in our grandmother’s closet. We asked her what that was, but she just told us not to touch that anymore. Well, I recently inherited some of that notes (she didn’t forget my sister either), and to be honest, I really don’t know what to do with them. Are they valuable or, since so much time passed, they worth nothing? To be honest, I’m just curious; I don’t think I’d ever sell them. |

| I’m glad that you want to keep the memory of your grandmother alive and that your question doesn’t necessarily mean that you want to sell those old banknotes. I also bumped into some banknotes recently, how beautiful they are! My friend, who works at the post office told me that banknotes always have some value, but she wasn’t sure how much exactly. It depends on their condition and other things; there is one thing you should definitely do: you should use UV lamp and check if the banknote is genuine, especially if you have lots of them. |
