What GAAP means in accounting?

| My aunt is an accountant and she is always mentions GAAP. I am not sure that I understand the meaning of it. Can you tell me what GAAP means in accounting? Do you know anything about this matter? Thank you all for making a comment. Every advice or just comment will mean a lot to me. |

| GAAP or general accepted accounting principles are very important for every accountant. For me these standards are the heart of accounting. These are standards and rules every accountant must obey in order to do the proper job. If you want to know more about this you can find on the internet a lot of information about it. |
