My grandmother has a certain number of shares in a company which is quite successful especially these days. Unfortunately, shes become senile recently and cant remember where she put the original shares certificate. Im not sure even whether well be able to find other documents which could testify that she is the owner of the shares. What should we do?

| Try to find some documents, such as a contract, a document with offer or something like that. Im sure that youll manage to prove participation in that company by id card only, but you could have problem if something happens to your granny and she hasnt transferred rights on some of her inherits. In that case your shares would be definitely lost. Now that she is alive she can give you the rights on the shares, but only go together to that company and ask for a person in charge of the shareholders, and youll get copy of the certificate you lost, hopefully with your name on it. I hope youll succeed. |
