What does a security called common stock provide?

| Couple of weeks ago I have discovered that I inherited a certain amount of money. This news came as a surprise completely. So, since I saw this money as a gift I have decided not to waste it on buying things I actually do not need. I am going to invest it. What does a security called common stock provide? |

| The common stock is ordinary capital stock in a company. It provides its owner with the vote depending on the ownership that he or she has in that company. What is important is that you can really earn with these stocks. However you really need t o be careful. You do not want to lose money. |

| If you invest your money in common stocks you will not have much voting privileges. But on the other hand you will be able to earn a lot of profit. The truth is that no matter what your plans are these stocks should be a part of your portfolio. Believe me you will not make a mistake. |
