My partner has taken a mortgage some time ago and it did not turn out as well as I have thought. I would like to know what happens to the house and mortgage if my partner dies. I have heard it is a case, but I am not too sure. If anyone could help me, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

| Mortgage is a loan you are given in order to buy the house. There is a possibility of it being taken from you if you are not fulfilling your obligations. In these cases, modifying payments is in line. In any case, you should know that you do not only pay for your house, but indeed you pay for both taxes and insurance. If your partner dies, however, that does not mean anything particularly damaging regarding the mortgage, as long as you are able to assume it, and continue payments as previously agreed. Hope you find the info helpful. |
