Hi there everybody! My name is Jonathan and I was wondering if you could give me some help with one issue that I am interested in. I was reading a book about trading psychology. I find it to be quite interested. I read something about CTI, but I didn’t quite get it. What is CTI in trading psychology? Thank you.
Hello Jonathan. I agree with you that trading psychology is a quite interesting subject. What you are asking about is Customer Type Indicator (or CTI) codes. These indicators are applied to transactions in future exchanges and they show what type of transaction is it (made by who and for whose account). There are four CTI codes. First code is when brokers on the market trade for themselves, for their accounts. The second code is when transactions are made for proprietary accounts. Third code is when members trade for other people’s controlled accounts and the last one is in case of customer accounts. Well Jonathan that would be all from me. Bye!
