What is business interruption insurance?

| I have recently been offered something called business interruption insurance. My business is doing fine, and besides I have never heard about this type of insurance before. I am hoping that you will be able to tell me some more about it, so that I know what it is? Have you got this insurance and why? |

| Look at this as the mortgage protection plan among business insurance policies. If something unexpectedly happens to your business, and no income arrives, your lost net profits can be recovered if your business is insured through a business interruption insurance plan. It is expensive, yes - but not pointless. Think about it. |
