Hi, I am a bit embarrassed to ask this question really. But I am not really certain what the current retirement age is. Does it matter what kind of job I am doing and is it the same for men and women? Im sure someone here can clear this up for me! Thanks for your answer!
Hello. Im pretty sure the current retirement age is 65 for both women and men, but that theyre thinking about extending it to 70. This goes for state pensions. As far as other pensions are concerned I think it depends on your employer, although I know for sure that in government jobs it is a bit lower, 60 I think. Perhaps someone else can confirm this is right?
