Hello there everybody. My name is Jonathan and I would appreciate if you could tell me something about inflation coverage endorsement in insurance. What exactly is that and is it worth taking it? What is not covered with inflation coverage? Well, that’s what I’d like to know. Thank you.

Hello Jonathan. Well, here is what I think about this. It is very wise to get a policy which has this inflation coverage endorsement for adjusting inflationary rises. You see, inflation coverage is additional clause in policy that provides insurer with additional coverage in case of inflation. If the construction costs rise, policy coverage will increase automatically. I think that inflation coverage does not cover costs that are not related to property.

Hello to you too. These days it is very good to have inflation coverage included in your policy. That way you protect yourself from the risk of rising prices. Now I don’t know if all the policies have this endorsement. But what you could do is, when you renew your policy, you can increase the limits of coverage, having in mind the current inflation. Unfortunately, I am not sure what inflation coverage does not cover. I think that it depends on company. That would be all. Good bye!
