What is positive balance of trade?

| Is there anyone with the will and time to answer a question I have urgently? I have heard the term balance of trade, and positive and negative balance of trade, many times. But despite that, I really don't know what this means. Now I need a definition. Can you tell me what positive balance of trade means? |

| A positive balance of trade occurs when a country exports more goods than it imports. Some set this to be their economic goal, and measure the success of the country's economic on the basis of the balance of trade. But keep in mind that having a trade deficit does not necessarily indicate an unhealthy economy, although in some cases it does. |
