What is the main difference between American and European options?

| Hi, I have read an interesting article about investing money. The main subject was options. I have to admit that there were so many things I did not have a clue about. To be honest there are many things that remains a mystery to me. That is why I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is the main difference between American and European options. |

| I have to admit that I do not know a lot about this matter. What I now comes mainly from the newspapers. Still I would like to leave my comment hoping that will help you somehow. There are many differences between American and European options. The value of each option is different and the main difference is exercised date. |
