| I saw an advert for a job at a debt collection agency the other day, and I am considering applying as I have been out of a job for a while now. Is there anyone who knows more about the activities of such companies and can you explain this to me? What is the main role of the debt collection agency? |

| As the very name "debt collection agency" so accurately suggests, debt collection agencies collect debts. Let's say you'll be going to peoples' houses, and telling them to pay up the debt NOW... or else...! You'll probably come across people who haven't paid for their TV sets and furniture, that kind of thing. |
