Yo people! What is the thing with high interest current accounts? I was having a discussion with some of my friends the other day, and they kept going on about it. Which accounts are those? Did I get stuck somewhere in the middle ages by thinking that only savings accounts were high interest? I am really interested in this! Why not get more interest if it is possible? Please enlighten me on what this means.
Hi. They certainly do exist. I know, because I hold one. I am with the Halifax and I have been very satisfied with them so far. Their award winning account offers an interest rate of 6.17 per cent. No bad, right? The account is called Halifax High Interest Current Account (HICA). Why don't just drop into to the bank and find out all about it? You will have to put £1000 or more a month into it. If you are employed, get your wage to be deposited into the account!
