Hello, I have a question that you might find funny. Still, I would appreciate your comment. Couple of nights ago my friends were talking about banking and other things related to it. They have mentioned a merchant bank. I was to embarrass to ask them to tell me more about it. That is why I would really be grateful if you could help me with this. What kind of bank is merchant bank?

You should not be embarrassed because you did not know about this bank. It is not strange at all. A merchant bank is bank that is engaged with international finance. It also deals with long terms loans for companies. Perhaps you would be surprised to hear that this type of bank has intention to advise companies and wealthy people about the best ways to use their money.
