What's happening when auction closes?

| I have just placed my very first bid on eBay and of course I hope that I will win the item I placed a bid on – a second hand book that I had been after for a long, long time! The auction will end in three days time. Can you tell me what will happen when the auction closes? |

| You will immediately receive a notice (automated from ebay) tell you whether you have won or lost the auction. If you have won, you then need to pay for the item. You will most likely receive a message from the seller asking where they should send the item, and telling you when they ship it. Good luck! |
