What to do when end of the tax year come?

It is my first year here in the United Kingdom and I know that the end of the tax year is coming up sometime soon. Could you tell me more about this and what I can expect? What do I need to do when the end of the tax year comes? Thank you for your help in advance!

You get some end of year tax forms (can't remember the official HMRC name for this now) on which you have to declare all of your taxable income, and on the basis of this, the tax is calculated. You are obviously not allowed to lie on your end of year returns and I would also very strongly advise you against this.

Take into account that there are some forms of income on which there is no tax due. I always think that you may be taxed on them any way, if you declare them on your tax return. So please look in to this in advance so that you are sure you are not being overcharged, which would obviously be a great shame.

I don't think that they really overcharge tax when the source of income is not taxable in the first place!? I do know that they make mistakes sometimes and that they end up overcharging you, but that does not mean they are stupid in general. I hope that makes sense.
