Most of my life I have dealt with cash, but in this day and age I find it more and more difficult (and expensive!!!), so, like most of the people I am going to switch to plastic. But before I even apply for a credit card I would just like to know whether the bank can refuse to give me the card and why would that happen?

| You did not say how old you were, but I assume that you are over 25 (am I right?). I just do not understand how you survived without one for so long. But enough about that, I will try and give you the basic information about the application and possible refusal. Well of course that they can be refused. However, they do not refuse on a whim; there are certain things that help them decide. For example, if you apply for too many credit cards that can be the deciding factor, it makes you look suspicious. Or, if you cannot provide the proof that you pay your bills regularly. Even the fact that you have not been a resident in that place or house can be a factor. Now, just try and chose the card that suits you best and apply for it. Best of luck. |
