| Hello, I was thinking about renovating my house. My wife and I are living in my parents’ house. Buying a house seems as an expensive solution. I cannot afford it. That is why I am considering getting a mortgage. Do you know if they need recent bank statements for it? |

| If you want to apply for a mortgage then the people from your mortgage company will most likely be asked for recent bank statement. They need these documents to check your financial position. Still, I m not an expert in these things so it will not be a bad idea to speak with a mortgage broker. But I am positive they need a bank statement. |

oh yes they will. in fact, they will be asking your bank statements for the last couple of years. you should try keeping yours clean if you want to be approved right away.
